Be afraid, be very, very afraid!

The Graphic Reporter's Tip of the Week
On last night's show I talked about how to create a silhouette a la Apple's iPod ads. It's an easy technique if you have the right kind of picture, otherwise, it'll be a little time consuming, but still lots of fun. Hope you enjoy the tutorial! Next week I'm off to Detroit again. Until next time, may the force be with you :)

Well, We did It!
Lesa and Shawn have some extra money so we decided we wanted to invest it for a period of time rather than buy....oh....say....more motorcycle gear. :)
So, being MacMacs (well, *one* of us is) we decided we'd put our money where our mouths are.
We are now officially the newest Apple Shareholders!
It was dead simple. We opened an account on eTrade.com ($12.99/transaction) and bought the stock online.
Lesa is a little disappointed that there weren't streamers and balloons dropping from the ceiling in celebration or that Steve Jobs didn't *immediately* call (after all, he has our number now!) but hey....we didn't buy *that* many shares. :)
We're both pretty confident that, in the short term (read Monday at noon) Apple stock will rise and, even in the longish term (say, 18 months) it will rise even further.
So, officially, we bought Apple stock at today's closing price of $69.59. Let's see where it stands after Steve Job's Keynote on Monday! :)
Does the iChat Mobile concept make sense?
Recently, a picture of something called iChat Mobile appeared on Engadget. I have no idea whether the picture is real or not, but the concept of a VoIP phone and a mobile iChat device seems to make good sense, as opposed to an Apple-branded cell phone. Visit my lame-ass web site to read why I think this makes so much sense, and then feel free to leave your comments there, or in the comments section just underneath this article. |
