TED Talks

Each year, TED hosts some of the world's most fascinating people: Trusted voices and convention-breaking mavericks, icons and geniuses.
The talks they deliver have had had such a great impact, we thought they deserved a wider audience. So now, for the first time, we're sharing them with the world at large...
Each week, we'll release a new talk to inspire, intrigue and awaken the imagination. For best effect, plan to listen to at least three, start to finish. (They have a cumulative effect.) If you have a curious soul and an open mind, we think you'll be hooked...

The Mac gaming industry is large to say the least and poker on a Mac is one of those things that leaves you with an empty taste in your mouth. With the recent creation of Full Tilt poker for the Mac there has been satisfaction in the Mac gaming community. The software finally lent us to download an actual native Mac poker software program.
While places like FullTilt are great some users say they are still searching for better hunting grounds. Party Poker is on the list of many Mac poker players. As of right now PC emulation and the use of Windows is the only possible solution for this problem.
In the past few days a few players have contacted Party Poker to see what their plans were for the Mac users out there. Support has confirmed that Party Poker may potentially be looking at the Mac market but there are no immediate plans for Party Poker for the Mac.
Owners of CompatiblePoker.com say Bodog is giving hope to Mac users by giving rise to a potential of Mac poker software in the eminent future. Currently the casino will run and also the play money .NET poker will also work on the Mac. An email to Bodog lead Mac users to believe we could expect real money poker rooms at their gaming site very soon.
The Graphic Reporter's Tip of the Week

On last night's show I talked about how to turn a photo into a pencil sketch, giving you an option for pictures with sub-optimal lighting, plus it's a great way to create an image that's something special and rather unique. Hope you enjoy the tutorial!
I'm off next week to Ann Arbor, MI and Washington DC for eight days. Be sure to check my road schedule and travel blog in the meantime!

Yes, yes, so it's bad to eavesdrop on conversations you're not involved in, but sometimes you just can't help yourself.
