Shawn & Lesa in New York City!

Lesa taught some classes at MacLive and brought Shawn along as the "spousal unit".

They had a great time - taking the Grey Line Bus Tour, the Circle Line Cruise around Manhattan, taking in a Choral Mass at Carnegie Hall and a Broadway musical!

Very cool! Great pictures - thanks for sharing, Shawn! I hope you'll have a good cab ride story or two for this week's show! NYC is such a cool place to visit - so much concrete & steel! - here is a link to one of my webpages from a trip my wife & I took a couple of years ago: http://homepage.mac.com/matt.anne/PhotoAlbum6.html

Love the "tourist" pictures. Yes NYC can be a "filthy concrete bitch without a soul," but damn, it's one exciting city!
Yes, SOHO is South of Houston. And Tribeca means the TRIangle BElow CAnal street? Before Robert DeNiro made that area famous - I always thought it was just called the meat packing district.

Enjoyed the pics, thanks for those, but would much rather click through them at my own pace. Found the automatic slide show function with no indication how to halt it annoying and, if I may, un-Mac-like.

Apologies for the slideshow. I hate it too. I'll turn it off next time.

Shawn...

How did you get those pics of the "Wicked" performance? They usually strictly
prohibit the taking of photos during a performance. Or did you figure that at $100
a pop, you'll take as many darn pictures as you want!

"How did you get those pics of the "Wicked" performance?"

Very sneakily. :)

I propped the camera on my chest and peered through the viewfinder. I took a
bunch of shots - those are the only ones that came out.

Lesa, is that a NY dark beer? Perhaps Saranac Black Forest I hope?
Excellent
choice, if so. (It's my favorite anyway.) Have to try Saranac beers if you're in
NY State!

You guys should come up to Central NY some time, and experience the great
Finger Lakes award winning wine region. Lots of cool places to see, like the
huge Corning Museum of Glass. You even get to make your own glass
ornaments. We blew glass into custom Christmas tree bulbs last year...such
designerly fun.

"Lesa, is that a NY dark beer?"

Nope _ good old Guiness.

"You even get to make your own glass ornaments."

Cool!
